Embrace Uniqueness with Northorpe Hall
At Northorpe Hall, we provide services that support children, young people, and families with their wellbeing and mental health—and we're inviting our community to help make sure that continues.
We're looking for schools, businesses, community groups, and individuals to get involved in a special fundraising activity focused on embracing individuality and helping young people celebrate what makes them unique. The beauty of this campaign is that it can be run at any time and it will make a real difference for the young people we support.
How it works
Participants are encouraged to host a “Dress to Express” day—inviting people to wear something that reflects who they are, their interests, passions, or personality.
These are some ideas we've come up with:
-
A favourite colour or lots of colour together
-
A sports kit or team shirt
-
A book, film, or character that feels meaningful
-
Anything that helps express what makes someone unique
The beauty of this campaign is that it can be run at any time of the year, but here are some ideas for moments where it feels particularly relevant:
-
Children's Mental Health Week (February)
-
Neurodiversity Celebration Week (March)
-
Autism Acceptance Week (March)
-
Autism Acceptance Month (April)
-
Mental Health Awareness Month (May)
-
Disability Pride Month (July)
-
International Youth Day (August)
-
World Mental Health Day (October)
-
ADHD Awareness Month (October)
-
Anti-Bullying Week (November)
-
International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December)
-
Or any time you want to support children and young people’s mental health!
Why get involved?
By taking part, you’ll be helping to fund vital services that support children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing—particularly neurodivergent children—while also encouraging conversations about self-understanding, embracing individuality, and celebrating what makes each young person unique.
