Ready to Rise

Supporting parents and carers to feel stronger, more confident, and ready to move forward.

Ready to Rise is a free, 10-week group programme for parents and carers of children with mental health challenges, neurodiversity, or learning disabilities. The course is designed to help you improve your own mental health, resilience, and confidence — so you can explore opportunities for training, volunteering, or employment.

Who is this for?

This programme is for parents and carers who:

  • Are struggling to balance work, home, and caregiving responsibilities

  • Feel isolated or unsure where to start with their own personal goals

  • Want to build coping strategies, confidence, and self-care routines

  • Are interested in exploring training, volunteering, or employment opportunities

What will you gain?

Participants can expect to:

  • Improve mental health and wellbeing

  • Develop resilience and practical coping skills

  • Build confidence to take steps toward personal and professional goals

  • Connect with other parents and carers, reducing isolation

  • Access information, resources, and signposting to wider support services

  • Be introduced to volunteering opportunities at Northorpe Hall and supported handover to local DWP work coaches

How the programme works
