At Northorpe Hall Child + Family Trust, we believe every child deserves a place where they are seen, understood, and celebrated for exactly who they are. And with our new fundraising campaign, “A Place That Gets Me,” we’re inviting you to join us to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

For us, this isn’t just another fundraiser, it’s a chance for schools, businesses, community groups, and individuals to come together and show young people that their uniqueness is something to be proud of. It’s about creating spaces where children can thrive — where their interests, passions, quirks, and differences are not only accepted, but celebrated.
Every fundraiser, every conversation, every little act of inclusion makes a difference. By taking part, you’ll help us provide the vital wellbeing and mental health services that children and families rely on — particularly for neurodivergent young people who often need extra support to feel understood.
We’re thrilled to be partnering with Operam Education Group to extend the campaign into schools across the Midlands and the North. With their support, even more children and young people will have the opportunity to feel understood, accepted, and proud of who they are.
How you can take part:
Host a non-uniform or themed day where everyone wears something that represents who they are. Maybe it’s your favourite colour, a sports kit, a character you love, or something that reflects a hobby or dream. It’s simple, fun, and sends a powerful message: being yourself is something to celebrate.
We’re kicking things off during Neurodiversity Celebration Week (16–20 March), but the beauty of this campaign is that it can happen anytime. Whether it’s Children’s Mental Health Week, Autism Acceptance Month, or just a day you want to dedicate to celebrating individuality, this campaign is for everyone.
We believe in a world where every child has a place that truly gets them. And together, we can make that world a reality. Find out how to take part and receive your fundraising pack at www.northorpe.com/aplacethatgetsme.
Together, we can transform young lives through understanding, inclusion, and celebration.
